How to live Halloween to the fullest!

Hello, people of SpaceHey! Now that it's September 1st, I finally have an excuse to center my life around Halloween. Are you a Halloween fanatic like myself? If you are, here's my little guide for how to enjoy and live Halloween to the fullest! This is just a list that I compiled that helps me experience the autumn nostalgia, feel free to tweak this list however you want so it applies to you!

HALLOWEEN DIYS

Halloween centered DIYs are an activity that can help take the boredom away, and become creative and artsy! Here's some examples I found via Pinterest.

CARVE A PUMPKIN

Pumpkin carving is a classic activity you can do to get into the Halloween spirit. You can also carve a Jack-O-Lantern with the same material.

LISTEN TO STORIES

Whether it's a spooky book or a scary story compilation on YouTube, listening to stories always helps me get into a spooky mood. My favorite spooky stories come from the Goosebumps book or Mr. Nightmare on YouTube.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Perhaps you may want to see the sunlight outside? Luckily for you, there are many Halloween activities that are based outside of your home. Corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted houses to name a few! Also, keep a lookout for local events for Halloween, they usually have a big community to help manifest the Halloween spirit. Stay safe!

WATCH OLD COMMERCIALS

If you want to get into the nostalgic vibe of Halloween, watch old Halloween commercials. There are many archived all across the web! Any compilation from YouTube works. Personally, my favorite commercials from the past are from the 80s and 90s.

BAKE HALLOWEEN THEMED DESSERTS

This is easily my favorite when it comes to autumn. Baking a nice dessert is always a fun way to capture the Halloween vibe. Some cool things to create are caramel apples, pumpkin pie, cookies, cinnamon rolls, candy corn, etc!!

HALLOWEEN PROJECTS

Another nostalgic activity for you to try out is to search for Halloween worksheets. They're very fun, and pass time! Here are some examples I found online.

WATCH A HALLOWEEN MOVIE

This is a pretty self explanatory one! Watching movies always affects mood, especially if you are with family or friends. Some of my favorites that I watch every year are Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice, and Nightmare Before Christmas. Keep in mind they do not have to be children movies, they can be any movie you want!

PURCHASE COOL TRINKETS

Halloween trinkets are a cool way to decorate a space and express your personality! Whether they're from thrift stores or Spirit Halloween, it's an effective way to stay in the Halloween spirit (no pun intended.)

CREATE A HALLOWEEN PLAYLIST

Spooky songs compiled for the mood! You can always find a YouTube playlist or create your own mix for Halloween. Here's my playlist if you wanna take a look!

I hope this guide was helpful for you! If you have any questions or feedback, let me know! I will do my best to answer them. More blogs on the way!! Happy early Halloween.
