little rant about physical media

so as i stated in my profile, I like to collect physical media and reetro / old tech. I have quite a decently sized collection, with approx. 15 cds and 10 records. Back in the day, this collection would probably cost like 100-150 USD, but now, physical media is overpriced as fuck so i spent around 250 on all of my collection. it is genuinely so annoying that records cost an arm and a leg but degrade so much faster and dont even have the best sound quality... 30 bucks each is actually insane. also cds are cheaper, but still are pretty expensive at like 15 each. the most expensive cd in my collection is probably my splatoon 2 soundtrack, at 40 to 50 usd... I get that physical media is harder to find, but it shouldnt cost SO GODDAMN MUCH just for what is basically a plastic disc or vinyl disc. :(
