INTRODUCTION

Hello Internet. My name is Felix.

 I'm writing a comic book and one day I hope to be a published author. That's what this blog is, to document my journey, although truth be told, I'm nearly finished my script. There's a lot more I still gotta do after that, such as working on the pitch, editing, and writing what I call "bonus material" which I know a lot of people call extra stuff in a book but for me that's untraditional ways of storytelling in a comic, such as the newspaper and biography extracts in Watchmen.

I won't give my proper age on the Internet but I'm still in School. That's what gives me a edge for my endeavours to be a writer. I daydream I can be published young and called an prodigy because I put my heart and soul into storytelling. If I'm told that my work is actually just poor and I'm a shitty writer, I'll just keep improving until I'm older. I need to be a Writer the same way Will Perry from Dead Poets needed to be a actor. It's this or oblivion for me.

A lot of famous comic writers started young I believe. Grant Morrison was seventeen for Time is a Four Letter Word. Gerard Way was younger (get ready to hear those names a lot). I understand if a publishing company is reluctant to take on a kid but imagine what would've happened if Grant Morrison just got rejected for their first comic. We wouldn't have Doom Patrol's wacky era, we wouldn't have Damien Wayne, We wouldn't have Danger Days by My Chemical Romance (probably).

What I'm trying to say is that I won't be rejected for my age because it may be the start of something great, getting one comic published. So many doors will open up for me and even just proving to myself that I can get one thing published will be enough to try again.

I'm gonna leave it there for today. I'm tired but it's actually 10:50 in the morning. I'm listening to Fall Out Boy's Folie a Deux. Today I go to the cinema to see the Spider-Man. On this blog I want to share my journey on trying to be a young writer and comics in general. Until then.
