so you think you can tell heaven from hell

It's been a while since I last dropped in.

I'm now in the DC metro area and absolutely loving it. We just settled into what will hopefully be a more permanent home for us, whatever that can look like in a world where even the possibility of land ownership is a concern for my generation. We're hoping to stay here for at least 4 years but the lease for now is bare minimum 2 years stay.

Bingus adores the space. The vibes are so much better than our cave on the corner of a busy, loud street. I don't have to get waken up by assholes revving down the side street that was next to our bedroom anymore. I can keep the windows open without being woken up by school buses at 6am caravaning through or kids loitering outside windows. Truly if I had to, I could deal with it. I'm more patient for city noise more than others but it is nice to not have to deal with it anymore.

I'm hoping it can be a better space for mi familia. It already feels better to all of us. 😊

Lot of events coming up;

- Work convention for my partner (which I love any convention man I'm like Swell Entertainment on youtube let me IN to your niche conventions please)

- Gorillaz concert !!!!!! This is going to fucking send me dude. I cannot believe I will get to see them and for such an important album to their lore. From what I've gathered, this may very well be the last major project for Gorillaz as it is. I'm considering dressing up for it but I'm unsure I'll have the time and idk if I want to worry about green face paint while I'm there... but man it would be so fun and cool to be Murdoc.

- Rennaisance Faire! My first one. I'll be going as lord farquad.

And finally; the big one. I'm going back to Katsucon for my birthday! Last time was an absolute treat. My goals are to cosplay as Scaramouche and Ryo for sure. I'm also looking to get 2p!America together for a group with my friends and maybe Hawks too. No matter what I know it will be a blast. Now that we are settled I would love to try to go yearly!
