Cats have 244 bones in their bodies (humans have 206) and free-floating collarbones that let them squeeze through any space that fits their head.  Cats can see in light levels six times lower than what humans need.  They can hear high-pitched sounds up to 64 kHz, which is much higher than the human limit of 20 kHz.  Each ear has 32 muscles, allowing cats to rotate their ears 180 degrees independently.  Just like human fingerprints, the ridge pattern on a cat's nose is totally unique.  Cats do not sweat through their skin; they only release sweat through their foot pads.  Most house cats have 18 toes—five on each front paw and four on each back paw.  While dogs make around 10 distinct sounds, cats can make over 100 different vocalizations.  A cat's purr vibrates at a frequency of 25 to 150 Hz, which matches the frequency at which human muscles and bones repair themselves.  Despite the classic cartoon image, most adult cats are lactose intolerant and cow's milk can upset their stomachs. Cats lack the taste buds required to taste anything sweet. A group of adult cats is called a "clowder," while a group of kittens is called a "kindle".
