Hey, the poster for the Japanese version of the Backrooms movie is super tacky and commercial.

Why cram so much information onto the poster for *Backrooms*—a movie that’s the very opposite of something you’d want to overload with details? Didn’t it occur to you to just use the version already in use in other countries??? This is seriously a piece of punk-ass sh*t, dude. Plus, the copy is so cliché. “It will redefine horror,” “a visual experience that invades your brain”—and in one version I saw somewhere before, there was even text comparing it to a “liminal space” version of the movie *CUBE* (WTH?!!?!!?!! Who the hell made this fucking decision?!?! If I were in charge, I’d fire them on the spot?!?! Hideo Kojima, I’m not dismissing your opinion—in fact, I respect it as a personal view—but I vehemently reject whoever decided to put this on the poster. They should just disappear). Honestly, even if I saw a poster with this kind of shit written on it, I wouldn’t have the slightest desire to go see that movie. In fact, if I were to learn about *Backrooms* for the first time from that poster, I’d think, “I’d rather kill myself than watch a dumpster fire with a catchphrase this shitty. If I kill myself and go to heaven, at least I’ll get to see the Beatles perform—even if some members are missing—or John Lennon. I’d much prefer that.”
