new paw patrol movie

so me and my friends all went to go see the new paw patrol movie and I want toggle an honest review yes it is that serious so shhh also spoilers ahead

so first off, the movie took a whileee to actually figure out what the plot is, and it's pretty much just a very longer paw patrol episode. there are like a million different conflicts leading up to the climax, which also threw me off a ton.

speaking of the climax, wtf? basically what happens is marshall gets left behind looking for his dino friend who he treats like a pet for the whole film even though he LIVES ON THAT ISLAND? (also they named it rhubarb, what the hell kind of name is that??) anyways, while he's searching for this dino, the rest of the people and dinosaurs on the island are all huddled in this cave on the island to escape the lava from the volcano. when marshall catches up with them, he has to use his firetruck's hose to cross the lava over to them. that was also confusing to me because when he hardened the lava, it was a VERY thin layer since it melted back almost immediately. how the hell was it able to support him safely? also how wasn't his flesh burning off? it's a very terrible example. kids, do not be like mashall.

anyways, he finally makes it across to the rest of them. to this, ryder sends marshall to go stop the lava. why him? I have no fucking clue. he could have sent literally ANYONE, heck, he could have gone himself or sent the whole crew to go do it, nah. just marshall. anyways, marshall nearly DIES trying to push out the rock, which caused a strong flow of water to push out from behind it, saving them all from the lava. 

literally this WHOLE movie was centered around marshall. the other pups hardly got ANY recognition, even rex, who I hoped this film would be about. he was stuck on that island for TWO YEARS, built a whole ass treehouse, and tamed the dinosaurs somehow. another terrible example for children. kids, do not tame dinosaurs, unless you want your head torn off. anyways, we could have had rex's backstory explained, and we could have had WAY more moments about him, nope. marshall. 

also, I know this is not exactly about the movie itself, but there were SO many kids talking throughout the movie. yes I understand that this is a kids movie, but I fear some of these kids were definitely old enough to know better.

overall 5.5/10 experience, unless you're like 7.
