hi it's been a WHILE now. i still haven't seen banana fish tho it's 2026 so i'm considering watching it. my friend said the manga is also good but the anime is easier to get into, what do y'all think?

haven't read the manga (other than vol 19) so my opinion is very biased and I say watch the show and read the manga afterwards if you're interested. They're the same story ofc, but the anime modernized the manga so I think they have different vibes to them for sure. I personally think the anime ending has a different feeling than the manga which I love. Can't really elaborate on why but haha
in general though, YES you should get into it!!!! ive been a fan for 6 years now and it's still on my mind often....
thank you for your input!!! i also heard the anime was wayyy more modernized than the manga and wondered if there were any big changes
and now that u mentioned it im really curious about the endings LOL... wonder if it's gonna make my 17yo depression worse or not /j
6 YEARS omg right that's when it popped off... i'll definitely watch it sometime next week x3

YAYA you'll have to let me know ur thoughts!!!! the actual ending isn't different between the two, it's the way the emotions play out...i'll be able to describe it once you read/watch it! i'd love nothing more than to talk about it with someone ๅ ซ(โขแท โกโขแท ) especially cause i just finished rewatching it for the first time 2 days ago hahah
