Why do I love MCR so much?? :3

Hi, this is my first blog hehe :3

My name is Sahara but my nickname is Sahi, I’m Mexican and I’m 16 years old, I’m starting this blog because lately I’ve noticed that Ever since I was little, people have called me a 'weird' person because of the way I dress, talk, and even the things I like.

These comments didn't affect me, it wasn't until I got to middle school that people were really mean to me. I got 'friends,' but they would make fun of me, especially for being different, in a country that considers people who are different as 'poor,' 'ugly,' 'disgusting,' etc., etc...

As I went through middle school, I kept pretending to be someone I wasn't just to ´´fit in´´ and it worked, my classmates were already ´´my friends´´, but it didn't feel that way because they didn't like the same things I did. I couldn't talk about what I really liked for fear of becoming the center of jokes again, I was really having a hard time.

But to my good luck, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE came into my life, from the first song I heard I fell in love with the band (the first song was 'Early Sunsets Over Monroeville') I already knew other bands like Green Day, The Cure, Placebo, Panic! At The Disco, etc etc... but listening to that song was completely my salvation, because I got more into the fandom and about the lyrics and what they conveyed to me , I realized that there WERE more people like me and I didn't have to be afraid to be myself.

On the internet, I found my place and I'm grateful for that. After finishing middle school and starting high school I decided to be myself again, not caring what people said, to watch anime again, play the video games I like, listen to the music I want, and wear the clothes that reflected who I am, inspired by MCR's songs, especially by the album 'The Black Parade' and its iconic song 'Famous Last Words', (although I LOVE all their songs and albums).

In March 2025, I had the chance to attend the very famous 'second emo march' in Mexico City, which recreates the iconic ´emo vs punks march´ at the Glorieta de Insurgentes in Mexico City. That's when I realized how much I love being who I am and being around people who aren't afraid to be themselves. And that's why I  love MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE so much <3.

P.S.: Have you felt the same way? Tell me, I want to know and talk about it, thanks for reading :333
