NIMRODS

I saw that new Green Day movie Nimrods with my friend the other day and I wish I could say it was no fun, but it was a wonderful time and silly movie. I will say, it's definitely in my good graces because it caught me on one of the rare good days where I wasn't in panic mode, but I'd definitely watch it again. My only criticism is that the movie didn't feel very brumal even if it took place in that wonderful gap between December and January (which is a shame because I am the biggest winter lover).

Nimrods wasn't the kind of movie you go to for like, a peak film experience. You just watch it for stupid fun... Or if you REALLY like Green Day. I knew that they made the movie, but holy SHIT I was not expecting that much of their music in the movie. It was never used inappropriately, but it definitely got to a point where I was like, "Omg this guy again?????" There was one that got me though. Warning for spoilers ahead!! So basically, the main two guys in the movie decide to stay in a creepy motel for the night and the owner tells them NOT to look in the closet. Big low-point argument breaks out and one of them accidentally opens the closet TO A FUCKING DECAPITATED HEAD. And when the camera cuts to the head, Brain Stew starts playing (see what they did there?). 

I hope it comes out for home release so I can watch it in the winter. I'm very big on seasonal media.
