Hey buddy. this is originally from a blog i posted on napoleon.
Nekoweb & Neocities; is there even a difference?

NEKOWEB!!! NEKOWEB!!

the demon of babylon disguises herself
with the coat of the righteous.
Adobe Flash.
That's it. Neocities didn't let me use Ruffle and Nekoweb did. Simple as that, really. It also allocated things like site storage into places that matter more to me. I'm using 8% of my current storage, and I'd rather take the 500 meebytes and the ability to use SWFs and a whole bunch of other things rather than the juicy gigglebyte. Theres also the better web code editor, which was a breath of fresh air when I was migrating compared to the absolute SLUDGETOWN that is the Neocities code editor. IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE AUTOCOMPLETE!!!!!!!!! WHO DOESN'T HAVE THAT?????????????

I've used this Golden Freddy
image thrice now. Maybe I'm worn out...
The moving process wasn't as bad as I thought, but it was reasonably annoying. The worst part was just emailing webringos that my domain changed.... never again. I hate having to email people out of the blue... although if you'd like you can email me whatever you'd like. Anyway, the moving process was relatively simple. Import .ZIP -> replace VSCodium workflow -> Email Webringos, easy peasy Plonker squeezy. Although, I will say that Nekoweb was a bit confusing to navigate, but thats probably just me being used to Neocities.

I'd reccomend Neocities if you..
- Are planning a VERY large site
- Don't see yourself messing too much with the medium (e.g. Flash content, external scripts, widgets, etc)
- Are new (Neocities is older and I'd assume has a lot more people to help you out... but that's just a guess.)
- Like to explore the scary forests with friends (neocities has been around longer and has a much larger community around it!)
- Are tidy with your website
- Plan to take full advantage of the padded cells we stay in
- want to host a lot of multi-media (not just a file dump!)
- Have a fair amount of experience with atleast HTML/CSS
- Like to explore the scary forests alone (nekoweb's community just like. there's nothing wrong with them i think i just hate them personally. most of them are fine though.)
