So I heard this book was going to be serialized into a movie? What?
The book in the first place shouldn't even be a thing; all the horrible stuff the male lead had done to the female lead is now being romanticized by so many people young and old, mind you, there are people in real life being stalked and fearing for their life. Someone tell 23 year old Jessica on TikTok that being stalked is not romantic and someone shoving a gun up your ass is fucking degratory. There's nothing romantic about the whole book it's just horrrible writing to appeal to this booktok girls.
No one should ever fantasize about being stalked and assaulted; it's straight up predatory and removing importance to the line of what should be accepted in a relationship and what is not.
Anyways just Venny's opinion 🫰

Wonderland
I don't care for Haunting Adeline or the "dark romance" genre, but this is all taboo fantasy and quite normal to enjoy. It's images in your head, words on paper, nobody's getting hurt. The person fantasizing has full control. The target audience are adults that can tell the difference between what is acceptable in fiction and what is acceptable in reality. I'm sure the women over at booktok don't think real stalking and assault is okay
