so i just finished my blanket but it turned out horribly since i just looked up the stitches and rows based on the weight and type of yarn with no swatching so this time im loosely following a free pattern on youtube (still no swatching, i hate it sm) that's seamed together since i rlly dont want to work in the round. since its for a solid colour jumper, im just using that as a shape template for kris's light world jumper (deltarune) and just adding a stripe to it.
i got the scheepjes cahlista one and its very nice but its not a perfect match so i went one needle size down and one garment size up to account for the tighter knit.
tbh, it was partially the wrong call. while size 8 works great for the garter/knit stitch, i should have sized down one like the pattern recommended for the ribbing since it looks too loose
also ribbing is SO hard T_T i had to redo it 6 times bc of how much i messed up. like it took me 7 days to finish 14 rows of ribbing but it took me barely any time to do that for the knit stitch
i hope everything turns out okay though!
