and if i said it did not matter to me,
id have been desperately lying.

i am cold and dramatic and tense and condescending
i apologize for my behavior
because we all know it does matter

and we know it will always matter.

i thought about the nebulas that night
and i thought about your eyes 
and that splash of green and hazel inside
burning and bright

that made me weak
and made me teary eyed

and if i had the guts
to put this to your head
would it really matter?

i thought about the oceans
relentless waves colliding with the sand

the sky will forgive me.
