Why are we accommodating fatties?

Like almost every store has an XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL but nothing past XS

They don’t need such big clothing, they need lose weight! Especially when they’re past the XXL bc at that point (depending on how tall they are obv) they’re obese

We should cut it down to like XXL as the biggest size and XXS as the smallest size.

It’s even worse with bras too! You can’t find anything under a 80C in stores! 70C is so common and they never have it, which ig explains why I never see anyone shopping in the Bra section in stores. We need at a min 70C in stores

Not only is there almost no representation of us skinny girlies in stores but honestly the fatties have become super mean especially online!

Literally saw a TikTok that said “why don’t people that are tryna gain weight just down a carton of heavy cream”…HELLO?! Like not only should you not down a carton of anything in one go BUT what makes this girl think that shit even works???💀

And almost everyone in the comments agree with her too! “They don’t actually wanna gain weight. They just love to say they do”, “gaining weight is actually the easiest shit ever”, “They lowkey like the attention more and they don’t actually want to gain weight”, “genuinely why aren’t they buttermaxing?”, “or just literally eat chocolate all day”, ETC ETC

Like sorry but gaining weight ain’t easy just like the fatties claim that loosing weight ain’t easy💀 and only eating unhealthy stuff doesn’t help either, actually it sounds more like they want us to be unhealthy!

(Btw this blog only goes for women bc I’m not a man ♡)

Edit bc ppl don’t have common sense: this obv doesn’t apply to ppl with medical conditions :/ they obv still should get it checked out and find out how (if) it can be treated so they can be healthy too

this post is funny because Instead of b!tching about it to the corps who choice which sizes get sent out to which stores, you're b!tching about it on spacehey. at least fat women were productive enough to advocate for themselves to retailers who ended up giving them more in-store clothing options. Try again with a group of bone thugs and advocate for yourselves or continue to have no options for yourself. u people cant do anything omg.

Yeah so this is a BLOG, yk its whole purpose is to write shit in it and complain! You cannot spend the whole comment scolding me for how I talk about fat people and then invent the Skinny Delegation's gang name lol

Also corp smelled a way to make more money by doing less when the bigger people rebelled, which I personally think is the only reason they even listened to them, and now thx to that we have vanity sizing and fast fashion everywhere ♡ yay go thank your saviors ig

by NekoNekoNii; ; Report

and with how coke chic and ozempic addicts are coming around the bend you might be able to get corps to make money off of YOOOOU too! see how that works, when you complain to the actual source of the problem, you get solutions IE what fat women did when they didn't have sizes. funny how that works. I mean that's what's gonna happen anyway, right? You're gonna give your money to any big corp that makes clothes your size just like anyone else. You just don't wanna do the wooooooork to get shit doooooone. At least fat women were productive and actually gave a fuck about each other enough to do something about it.

and yeah babe idgaf about being respectful when you weren't either "you cant get on me for shaming fatties and then call me a bone thug!!!!!" actually I did so now what + I didn't invent "bone thugs(s)" its a ref to a Ludacris song LMAO honestly you should feel honored.

You're kinda agressive about fat people for no reason, but otherwise stradivarius and bershka both have very small size, I use to struggle to find my size in most stores because they were too big, but in those shops it was perfect. The sizing in general is so bad, like every jean at my size are way too long and obviously designed for tall skinny girls lol

So you typed this all out and still posted it...? Yeah man this had to be rage-bait cuz wtf. Do you hear yourself? Quite the irony that you're calling out plus sized girls about how it's hard to lose weight while doing exactly the same thing. And I quote “just like the fatties claim that losing weight ain’t easy and only eating unhealthy stuff doesn’t help either, actually it sounds more like they want us to be unhealthy!”. That sounds like a projection of what YOU think about people who don’t fit your beauty standards.

Perhaps consider, some people can’t lose weight as easily due to (health conditions, genetics, environments, economic difficulties etc.) the same way someone who is skinnier wouldn’t be able to gain weight as quickly due to the SAME reasons. You’re quick to generalize that plus size individuals are The only thing unhealthy here is your lack of critical thinking… Yikes, you clearly are the bully here. Next time take a moment to reflect before posting something so insensitive and dismissive of others experiences. I can guarantee you it’s much harder to find actual cute plus size clothes in comparison to xs clothing. And this is not me saying it’s not also hard to find xs clothing or clothes that actually fits you the way you’d like.

The actual problem here is fast fashion ! Clothes aren't perfectly tailored to fit you— but hey, if you’re unhappy maybe consider altering your own clothes !! There’s a solution to everything, complaining and belittling others isn’t going to solve your problems ! xoxo :D

Report Comment

The last part of my post said that it isn’t easy for both of us like you read, even if you don’t like how I worded it! I’m not going to be nice to people that bully me ♡

If I wanted to completely take apart and put together 30 smth pieces of clothing I would’ve become a fashion designer

by NekoNekoNii; ; Report

And I do agree the comments you quoted from tiktok are not nice and are very dismissive of the struggles you (and other xs/xxs individuals) go through. But so are you by not acknowledging the other barriers someone can face when losing or trying to gain weight. In reference to the edit you made to your post-- no it's not common sense that it doesn't apply to people with health conditions when you are calling plus size people fatties and suggesting there should only be xxs-xxl, as if that's gonna solve your issue (or anyone's) for that matter.

You also don't have to be a fashion designer or completely have to take apart your clothes just to have clothes that fit you properly. There's a reason tailor shops and seamstresses exist, whether you want to invest in that is your choice. Even so, for simple fixes there are different types of cinch clips so you don't have to sew or alter it yourself. There are some really cute ones if you search for them. There's even adhesive tape or fabric glue, though I personally haven't researched those yet. I haven't even gotten into the bra stuff but both ends struggle to find a good fitted one that is comfortable.

I haven't even mentioned that being skinny was literally the societal standard not too long ago, to the point where people were obsessed with trying to lose weight, even going to the extent of an unhealthy BMI. I do agree, at some point also gaining too much weight is bad for someone's health but we circle back to the point I made earlier; don't be a bully about it and belittle others. You wouldn't want someone to do the same to you, would you?

Be a little more considerate about others feelings and emotions, not just your own ! ♡
Even when you are angry, we all grow up and have to learn how to regulate our emotions and not be mean to others while still having self-respect and prioritizing your needs ! ♡

by + gigiii +; ; Report

This is a whole lot of words to basically tell me “just alter every piece of clothing that doesn’t fit you” which completely misses the point of the post. Tailors, cinch clips and fucking fabric glue existing does not solve stores not carrying clothes that fit me. If someone complained that stores didn’t carry their larger size, telling them to buy clothes that don’t fit and then pay extra to have them altered would obviously be a ridiculous response, so idk why you think it suddenly makes sense when the clothes are too big.

I also literally added an edit acknowledging medical conditions, so saying I’m “not acknowledging” them because you don’t like the rest of my post makes no sense. I never claimed my problem was the only clothing problem anyone is allowed to have.

And what does skinny being the beauty standard years ago have to do with whether I can buy clothes that fit me NOW? I’m not asking society to worship skinny people. I’m asking stores to sell my fucking size

I already said I wrote this while angry and that it came out aggressive. I’m not rewriting the entire post because some strangers don’t like my tone. You can think I’m mean. That’s fine.

Also “go to a tailor” is genuinely such a funny solution. Sure, let me add an appointment and alteration fee to every normal €20 piece of clothing I buy because apparently expecting the clothing store to sell clothing that fits is unreasonable ♡

Eris

Eris's profile picture

As someone who also wishes there were smaller sizes because it's extremely hard for them to find clothes that fit, this is NOT the way to go about it.

Just because you have some weird idea of how people's bodies should look doesn't mean it's wrong to have size inclusivity for people with bigger body types. There is already so much negative stigma towards people because of their bodies; why add to that? You're upset because you want inclusivity for your smaller body type, but inclusivity in sizing goes BOTH WAYS.

As you said, no, it's not easy to gain weight, but that doesn't mean it isn't hard to lose, and just because you struggle on one end doesn't mean other people don't struggle on the other end. Let's also take into consideration how health issues or genetics can cause people to be bigger or smaller.

So before you post hateful content, consider how other people can be struggling instead of just your own struggles; it's not cute to be a narcissist! And think about how you're part of the reason why people feel bad about their bodies. These beauty standards are literally why people develop eating disorders.

The title was pretty fucking clear about what this post was going to be about. If reading opinions like mine about weight is harmful to you, you had every opportunity not to click it.

And yes, I care more about a problem that directly affects me than somebody else's problem. I'm allowed to complain about not being able to buy clothes without turning my post into an essay about everybody else's struggles.

I also never said gaining weight was easy.
I know it isn't. I'm slightly underweight and doctors have repeatedly treated that as a health problem, so I don't understand why saying an unhealthy weight should be addressed rather than normalized suddenly becomes unacceptable when we're talking about the opposite end.

You can disagree with how I said it, but I'm not rewriting my own blog to make an intentionally inflammatory post sound nicer ♡

I understand your issue, especially since sizing is constantly getting bigger—which I know can be very frustrating—but that isn't an excuse to bash on people for having a bigger body type. Understandably, it can be annoying or hurtful to get constant notices on your body, but it's just as hurtful the other way around. I am not asking that you delete your post or anything, but I think you should acknowledge that your choice of words regarding larger sizes was not appropriate at all.

Yeah it’s a bit harsh ig I wrote it while I was mad like fresh out of the mall and can’t be bothered to rewrite it

I can get being mad about it; I literally flip when I realize a store's sizing has changed, right after I cleared it as small enough. Personally, I'm in the 0s—If you're also in the range, maybe I can recommend some stores if you'd like?

by Eris; ; Report

Uhm idk what my size would be in your size honestly and I’m Germany so most Americans stores don’t exist here sadly thank you tho!

I looked it up and in your sizing I’d be a 0-2 (a EU 32/34 depending on brand)

by NekoNekoNii; ; Report

Ahh, that sucks!! Since that's the case, I think you should try finding some easy ways to alter your clothes. There are so many cute methods that don't involve sewing, and even learning to sew can be a help. It really is a very useful skill, if not for altering clothing, then mending things when needed. You should also check out vintage and thrifted items. Yes, it can be a hassle to search for, but you can also find some of the cutest things!

by Eris; ; Report

I didn’t know there were ways without sewing thx! I do know how to sew but I’d basically need to completely take them apart to fix what’s not fitting me and that’s kinda a pain without a sewing machine

I wish thrifting was more here but it isn’t! I always watch American thrift videos and it looks fun. Idk if vintage stores exist tho, I’ve never seen one personally.

who gaf abt my age????? also there's tons of stores that fit for xxxxxs if that's what ur looking for, fast fashion isnt really recommended tbh-- u don't need to put others down js bc you have a problem ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ u could've js asked for store rec's that sell smaller sizes instead of saying "xl people shouldn't have clothes that big" bc height is very much a factor in clothing size, you can be an XXL and be healthy, because clothing doesn't dictate your health, your weight, height, age, and muscle mass do XD

by izzyyyy; ; Report

I already said that I can’t buy clothes clothes online because here debit cards aren’t often accepted, I don’t prefer it bc it’s actually more expensive and comes with a high chance of it not fitting me anyways bc it’s the same damn stores since none of the American brands make a .de site so you NEED to go in person, and my parents have a weird thing against buying clothes online “bc they come from Asia” (Idfk don’t ask me I find it weird)

Girl where tf do you live lmao
The absolute majority of clothing brands focus on standard sizes- we're literally in the same boat. Fat people get no fashion, the brands just focus on producing the sizes that are most represented in their shoppers, which tends to be between s and xl. It's so rare to actually find plus sizes in stores. Idk why you think it's fat peoples fault lmao

Also do you not see the hypocrisy in telling people to lose weight when you complain about others doing the same to skinny people? It's completely useless to complain about people and their bodies when there are so many societal and biological issues that need to be considered. And that goes for fat and overly skinny people. At least try to do some research on obesity and its' root causes before going on a spiteful rant that will get you nowhere. The excuse of you just "wanting people to be healthy" is the most braindead you could bring after writing out said spiteful rant about fat people.

I'm genuinely sorry about the bullying experienced you've seemingly made with bigger people- but we should be at a point where we know not to generalize about an entire group of people based on anecdotes. The same way I don't believe that skinny people are all ignorant based on your post alone. Maybe we should appeal to more inclusive sizing in stores together instead of focusing on what we look like for a change? The same way you can't just suddenly gain 10 kg to fit into a pair a pants, fat people can't just magically lose those 10kg. Especially speaking from woman to woman- there's better things to rant about.

I live in a country where most American stores don’t exist and the ones that do? In the big cities miles away from me

Everyone should be forced to become a healthy weight. If I’m forced to gain weight bc I’m underweight they should be forced to loose it, only until everyone’s a healthy weight for their age and height obv which means that there’ll still be a variety of clothing sizes

You can literally go most places online and irl today as a skinny person and complain or just mention it and all you’ll be getting is “omg dream” “you literally fit the beauty standard” “you have everything” “stick” or some other insult. It’s so hypocritical considering they were bullied too a few years ago

by NekoNekoNii; ; Report

1. The people you come across online are people you subconsciously search for. If it's posts or spaces that are being recommended to you, then you are still responsible for what you're subjected to. Even if you don't like the people you're interacting with, as long as the platform has an algorithm, it is curated to keep you on. You can fix that.

2. How about nobody has to do anything? I don't know in what kind of fantasy you're living- but a world that forces people into perfect health is not a utopia. That's fucked up. Nobody is forcing anyone to be outside their recommended weight, nobody should be forcing anyone to be within their recommended weight.

3. Fat people are not your op- you wanna complain about body shaming? about clothing sizes? about whatever the fuck? well get your head out of you ass and look around. It's not fat people who are ruining and controlling everything. If there's been a few fat people that were mean to you, well that doesn't give you the right to hate an entire- already overhated- group. Not all fat people were bullied at some point and not all fat people will undermine your personal struggles with your weight. When you start comparing your life to a life as a fat person though, it becomes a different story. Because it is not comparable.

just move on with you life and take care of yourself. Stop trying to find a culprit that is responsible for all evil in your life when they're struggling as much as you do.

So looks like you don't have a problem at all with fat people, you don't have any issues with any bullies and you're perfectly content. Why tf would you keep whining and raging if you don't have any problems? Then just let others live and take care of your own shit omfg

Your only problem seems to be the people who annoy you about your weight. Why tf would you do the same? It's like a toddler getting upset about their sibling because they're treated unfairly by their parent. Maybe it's not the sibling that's in the wrong and that needs to be treated worse. Maybe you're just a toddler who wants to be treated better by the parent.

I’m replying to your stuff not reinventing what I said. I wrote it, I meant it, maybe it’s poorly worded bc of my dyslexia idc I’m not rewriting it

I obv do have one problem and that’s finding clothes, which is what half the blog is about.

Why would I be nice to ppl that aren’t nice to me? The way I worded it is semi deliberate. Why do you think I only blog about stuff that bothers me? I want you to argue with me, my life is literally so perfect that I’m lacking negative social interactions and it’s not like I can just go seek out my bullies, that’s illegal. Also I don’t have siblings

Right, so all in all you really are just an insecure loser lmao cus normal people don't behave like this

Dude the biggest issue you have is your unjustified ego. Maybe that should take priority over clothes while you're fixing yourself

by Vegas; ; Report

Where the hell did you pull insecurity from?? I literally said my life is perfect, what’s there to be insecure about? I’m def not insecure about not being fat? That’s so stupid

There’s nothing to fix? Idk you’re starting to sound like you’re projecting or something because I have no idea where you got ‘insecure’ from

Toodles ♡

Girl everything you said until now screams insecurity. You'd have to be braindead not to notice it. Confident people don't act like this

Dude…ppl literally starve themselves trying to look like me! Difference is I’m fucking chronically ill. My body is not something I’m insecure about xd You just decided I was insecure and ran with it which is kinda pathetic

i cant belive youre still trying to argue that fat people have it better than skinny people girl

Idk why you’re still trying to make me think otherwise? Idfk where you live and all that but I literally have people in here with the same damn problem

And idk why vegas even continues this tbh but idc I made my stance very clear
