Hello dearest reader.
Are you a fan of tarot? For I have a reading just for you.
Let it be a lesson, a warning or clue
As for who? I wish I knew.
But let us trust the message of the Fool's fall
Lest lies make Fools of us all.
A draw of zero reversed, sixteen and nine
Parted by oceans, yet by fate, their stars aligned
A chance encounter. Your path crossing mine
A vision given in parable and rhyme.
A house, a home, a hovel now ruined
Built in shameful lies and truths diluted
Your bricks and beams were laid in omission
Your boards and planks- warped and stiffened
The Fool built her house on lies, both large and small
-Yet wonders why she's fated to be alone
Her every partner noticed the cracks in the hall
And the fissures in the foundation’s stone
They’ll inevitably leave her as her walls will crumble
Whether it be now or later
Whether it be in a shout or a mumble.
It'll happen because truth hates lies,
and for that- truth hates her.
The Fool may wander, looking for someone new
But truth always catches up to collect its due.
The Hermit only watches with festering unrest
Once a friend- then a victim of that foolish viper’s nest
He'd chosen silence and solitude over dishonest connection
To ward off Fools who use twisted words as their weapon
Sworn to observe, and observe only
As the Fool perpetuates cycles, ever lonely
So the Hermit waits in his garden cross' the pond
Watching her walls contort, buckle and yawn
Enthralled by a tragedy of one's own making
The Fool was a victim of her own long con-
Buried in the rubble of the aftermath's quaking
As the Fool's hovel came crashing down
The Hermit could only sit beside himself with a frown
He really liked her, and her stubborn ways
He enjoyed her games and complex craze
If only from a distance.
Yes, from a distance, it could be worthy of praise
But I suppose in the end, her bad habits just couldn't be tamed
The Hermit sighed. "What a shame"
And there you have it. A lesson hard learned.
Lovers lied to, are lovers spurned.
So dear reader, I hope you were paying attention
Lies are poison- a poison that breeds contention
For the sake of your future, for the sake of your house
DO NOT LIE TO YOUR SPOUSE
-The Hermit

its lowkey giving fortune teller XD but in all seriousness i relate to the hermit fr. Is it a universal experience to date/know a pathological liar or something?
You'd be surprised to know how many pathological liars I've met in my life. When I did this reading, I actually had someone in mind, but because of how universal I felt the experience was, I decided to share it. But ya, def was going for the mysterious fortune teller vibe lol
