Hello Internet! I was on instagram today and saw a clip of a teenager probably 13-ish. Talking about how they wanted to collect "old physical media". My a$$ thought it would be like an LP player from the 80's. But no no no, this kid pulled up a cd player... AN CD PLAYER THAT I HAD IN THE LATE 2000's ?! And the comments were like "that is so retro!" or "it's crazy how these things have disappeared".
It just hit me in a weird kind of way, cuz wdym physical media from 2000's is now considered old?! Like I didn't have Spotify or anything like that until I was a teenager.
LOL I just thought it was a funny thing and I wanted to share it, how would you all react?

Well, it makes sense that it's old news for him... he's 13 years old, he was born in the digital age... CD players weren't even being made when he was born... our era was literally 20 or 30 years ago, but since some of us (me, for example) actually lived through it, it's natural for us and we feel like time hasn't passed, or that "it wasn't that long ago"
... but yes, folks, DVDs, CRT TVs or PCs, CDs, his CD player, etc., are all old news now... but forever in our hearts 💙

?? I'm thirteen and I still used cds and live tv for the majority of my life. I think I've actually only had streaming tvs for a few years now.

I love watching tiktoks of ppl being like "i wish i had a cassette player!" "I wish i had an old radio!" "I wish i had a cd player!" when i have all of those things bcuz i used them as a kid and we never threw out lol. (Expection for the radio, that's my mom's :3)
