Poetry - 'hymns of devotion'

"You may have my soul if you can cradle it,

It does not matter how you hold it, just do not let go.

Do it gently and I will rock to the lullabies and hymns you sing from your heart.

Aggressive and I will change the time signatures of my favorite songs from 4/4 to 5/4.

I will mold myself to the pace you set, and never miss a note.

You will be pleased when you find out my dynamics, my struggles,

Have been set from fortissimo to pianissimo.

I am nothing if not selfless,

You will learn this once you find out my tuning does not change with temperature,

My strings will not stretch when warm,

I will not go flat when you get cold.

You are my composer, I am nought but a note.

I am idle, I am still, I am selfless, I am yours.

Mold me, tune me, bend me to your will.

I will still play for you.
