Comic Update

Yeah no, I was being too ambitious when getting the idea to make a DOUBLE comic. Maybe I'd be able to do it if I was completely jobless, but I do have to go to school. And, ngl, Lena's part was a bit boring to do, too. There's a reason I don't ever watch slice of life.

So, yeah, I think I'll just stick with Lune and the world of dreams.

The stuff about the length and frequency of the chapters is still true, I fear, but oh well.

On the upside! I've made a major development in my art style.

I've wanted to incorporate ink into my comic for a while now. I tried it a few months ago and found it very fun. I've spent the last 2 days experimenting with it and, yeah, I think I can do it now. Not only does it look good and unique, but it's also much quicker than using liners only, so I think it'll imporove my pace, too :3!

Here's my last few tries V

ink1

They are numbered in order (1 being the oldest). My biggest issue was that ink smeared whenever I tried to erase a sketch (pencil) underneath. Tried abandoning sketching entirely and just going in with ink, but that wasn't very reliable nor consistent.

What seems to work best is sketching with a pencil, doing the 'lineart' with liners (which dry quickly and don't smear), erasing the sketch and THEN going in with ink.

There's definitely a lot of perfecting to do but I'm certain this is the direction I want to go in. It kind of reminds me of Outlast comics too, which is a great thing, since I've thought of them as the biggest inspiration since I saw them. They have a very unique, beautiful art style
