8/6/26
It's my birthday, and I've been sitting with just how much this past year has taught me. My first trip around the sun in the 30s club. But before anything else, before the lessons, the glow-ups, the growth... I just want to sit in gratitude. Not everyone gets to see this age, and I don't take that for granted. Here's what 30 has shown me so far:
- The glow is real. Somewhere along the way I found a confidence I never had in my 20s... quieter, steadier, and it shows in how I move through the world now.
- 30 isn't old, it's clarity. I still know how to have fun, but I also know when to walk away. That balance feels like a gift.
- Choosing peace, on purpose. Life is short, and I only get the one. I'm done spending it on things I can't control or things that steal my peace. That's not selfishness, it's self-respect.
- Staying active isn't optional anymore. It's how I take care of the person I'm becoming.
- It's never too late. This year I finally finished my Bachelor's degree and landed my first salaried job. Proof that timing isn't everything, and that what I bring with me matters more than when I arrive.
Thirty taught me to slow down enough to actually notice my own life. Here's to carrying that into whatever comes next.
Cheers to chapter 31. 🥂
