poem time

written on april 14th 2026, idk why I didn't post this at the time

all roads lead to rome huh

you are an irreplaceable amount of sacrifice

even now, my decisions about you matter

yet they will have the same outcome.

my independence isn't worth your words

you were an addiction and i was not.

you made me feel like a chore but you gave me purpose.

i don't know who you are anymore,

i only think about who you could be.

i understand your neglect but i don't understand your decisions.

why now and why me again,

what changed?

i don't understand most of you.

tell me more words to hurt myself with,

give me more hope to get drunk on.

let me lose my mind about you again.

make my thoughts bleed out infront of you and leave me wondering who we are again.

you deserve freedom and so do i, so why keep me shackled?

though it is not you who shackled me.

i swallowed the key years ago.
