I finally got my SpaceHey profile up and running after wrestling with HTML and a YouTube music player for longer than I'd like to admit. No wonder I failed my coding classes in high school T-T

Lately I've been preparing for university and, after a lot of thinking, I've decided to fully commit to archaeology. Most of my days now are split between reading archaeology textbooks and journals, studying Latin, and trying to slowly add Mandarin and crosswords into the mix just to keep my brain active.

It feels... strangely peaceful? Like it's the right choice, the one that will bring challenges I need and can handle and not more nonsense into my life.

I spent so much time getting caught up in online communities and Discord drama that I'd almost forgotten how much I enjoy simply sitting down with a book and learning something new, and how much I enjoy keeping to myself in the online spheres.
It's a whack thing, somehow I am more of an introvert online than I am offline. I suppose the selectiveness also plays a part in it, I'm not a big fan of online small talk. Hell my favorite "social media" app has been focustown, I love the parallel play feeling of it.

Either way the goal over the next year is simple: become a stronger student, keep reading, visit more museums, watch more musicals and movies, and hopefully begin my archaeology degree next autumn.

And probably deactivate tumblr someday, or keep it solely for the fanart goldmine that it is.

Small steps are still steps.
