Emi's Diary #17// Translated // Sunday, March 15 2026// 03:13 AM

I've officially moved to another city to start studying at my institute. I think it's been about three days now.

I have to admit, I didn't even want to get here at first. There were so many people around, and I didn't want anyone to worry about me. I was also just... embarrassed. Even so, I've been trying my best to keep myself distracted and not overthink everything.

Deemo has been by my side this whole time, so I don't feel as alone.

The day after tomorrow I'll be starting classes. I'm really nervous, but I'm trying to stay positive. If I think about it too much, I feel like I'll fall apart.

I miss my bed, my cats, my room, and my mom. The first day without them was so difficult that I ended up taking a shower just to distract myself.

I also delivered a pony order I still had pending and walked around the mall for a while. A few people told Deemo and me that they liked our outfits because our aesthetics are completely different from each other. I saw so many things I wanted to buy, but I really need to save money, no matter how tempting they were.

Yesterday was Cross's birthday, so we celebrated together. I didn't have much money, but we still managed to have a really nice time. We met up with Hare, who brought him a tiramisu because he loves it. Later we ran into Bear, who had been bitten by a dog the night before. After that, we all went to Johnny Rockets. We laughed so much we almost got kicked out, then walked around for a bit before heading back home.

For now, Deemo is sleeping in the trundle bed with me since we still don't have all the furniture ready. Honestly, I'm glad she's here.

We also watched such a creepy horror episode that afterward we went into the kitchen to wash the dishes... and then forgot to bring them back because we were both too distracted. We're idiots.

Today I made rice with a tuna spread using tomato, onion, lemon, and mayo. It was actually really good.

I really want things to go well at the institute. I'll be going there on my own, and I'm scared, but I know I have to do it.

I'm so grateful that Deemo has been with me through all of this. I love her so much, and even though we won't be studying at the same place, I hope we'll stay friends forever... or at least until one of us is gone. I laugh so much whenever I'm with her, and because of her company, being far away from everyone else doesn't hurt nearly as much.

I just have to avoid thinking about it too much.

My room still feels so empty. Maybe once I decorate it, it'll finally start feeling like home.

As I'm writing this, I'm feeling really nervous. Tomorrow, Deemo's dad is coming over for a while, and I'm hoping he can also bring some of the things my mom packed for me, especially the blanket she made.

At least I brought both Doe's, my favorite ponies, my little altar, my clothes, and some food. I like sharing it with Deemo anyway.

I love Doe so much. He's been comforting me through this whole process, and I honestly don't know what I'd do without him. He makes me so happy. Sometimes I catch myself wondering if he could ever love me as much as I love him.

God... he's amazing.

Anyway.

I also stopped by a music store, hoping they'd have the rubber-string electro-acoustic bass ukulele I've been wanting for so long.

No luck.

Every time it's in stock, I don't have the money.

And every time I finally have the money...

It's gone.
