Los campesinos is an indie band from the UK that make really good emotional, witty, and self deprecating songs, here is a quote that really stuck out to me after reading a bunch interviews

after being asked what a song of theirs called "Got Stendhal's" was about Gareth (writer and lead singer) replied;

"I guess this is a love song; it's about being overwhelmed by somebody else, and by being overwhelmed that you find yourself in love. But also being aware that life and love is fickle and that although you may be experiencing happiness it always feels like sadness and disappointment is not very far away - that's a very Los Campesinos! sentence that I've just spoken. But yeah, that's the gist of it really, that feeling of being incredibly intent and happy but also wondering how that happiness can ever be preserved."
