Cheap meals for when you have maybe..ten bucks to your name. (And hacks for spending a bit less, that work for me.)

As someone who primarily goes grocery shopping, I know how much my mom has left for it. These are the meals I make when I literally can get 10 dollars worth of food. Also, everything changes between households. I'm a family of four, the youngest of two kids. On average, when I'm not fretting about money, I spend maybe...$25-$30 dollars. For like. 20 things. Because !! I price match. Yk when that old man is taking 1000000 years in front of you, with the flyer? Yea, that's me. I will have my flyer OUT. I will go on the websites and check what the price difference is between amounts. Deals. If there is a deal, for even ten cents less, and I need it, I grab it. Once, I spent $7.49 on nine things. I am that locked in on saving money. It was like..9pm tho. I was tired as hell. But who cares!! Okay, onto the meals !!

If you have eggs, and ramen noodles (they're always on sale where I live, currently only for 49¢ for me noodles.), boil the noodles, DRAIN THE WATER. Keep it in the pot though!! Then add the seasoning packet, then the egg. Have the stove at like..5 (I have an old stove.) maybe medium on ur stove. Idk. Have the element on half. Then stir rigorously. Like it owes you money. It'll look like it has small chunks of scrambled eggs in it. It'll be like a creamy noodle type thing. Really good. If you have vegetables, add them. When I have like 10 dollars, I don't usually. Frozen veggies r always great tho. If you don't have eggs, but you have canned meat (if ur in Canada, you can get canned meat at dollarama for liek..$1-$2. it's cheaper than getting it at the store and it's the same thing. They might have it at dollar tree, idk.) slice the meat and pan fry is with a bit of margarine. Season it, obv. If you have sauce, sauce it. I always have condiments bc they last forever (unless it's mayo or ketchup. Those last a few months in my hours.)

If you have bread, butter, and cheese. Make a grilled cheese. Add meat if you have it. Add whatever you really have to it, and there you go! A proper meal. Yummy too. If you have canned soup, or alphaghettis, zoodles, or wtv u prefer. I prefer the Scooby-Doo canned soup tbh (even if Kraft lowk fell off.) it's filling.

Pancakes. I hate pancakes, but it's easy to make, and sticks to the ribs. I like adding extras to it. They're versatile. Add some seasoning (savory) and there you go! Dinner! Add some cinnamon, or wtv u have, and breakfast! Or lunch! You could do either way for lunch. I feel like breakfast needs some sweet, idk. For dinner, you could add some cheese and cut up (COOKED) meat to the batter and make it that way. It's actually pretty good. I've made it for myself a few times.

Pasta. It's usually pretty cheap. Two dollars, usually. And the sauce is cheap too! If you get the canned one. The jar ones,,, not so much. It's versatile and cheap. Add whatever you want to it!

Will be added to !! Also, feel free to add ur own recipes in the comments !!

This is helpful asf! And don’t worry, more people should be that old man with the flyer. Coupons are valuable.
