Seattle Trip :]

Hi Yall! I just got back from seattle so here's my little blog about it! I haven't really left Texas in almost a year and, especially  with staying in-state for college, I have really been wanting to get out for a few days. Luckily with my mom's job, I had a chance to go to Seattle with her which is super fun because I had (somehow) never been! The northwest seaboard is my favorite area of the country so I was super excited.

 Its so hot here right now, like its getting up into the 105 range (41 celcius ish) and it is just miserable. At least I'm used to it haha. Getting off the plane there was crazy because it was like, actually kinda cold. I got a danger days hoodie from the new album merch so it was fun to finally have a chance to wear it haha.

 Me and my mom just kinda walked around the first night, dinner was a polish sausage from the seaside harbor and then we went on a harbor ferry, I'm normally super scared of boats so I was being very brave but it was so worth it! (the photo compressed so badly T^T)

 The next day I had to help my mom out for most of it but then after her event we went to the chihuly exhibit. My mom is a glass artist so she was super excited to see his work. Fun fact: when i was super little there was actually an exhibit near me of his that we went to see, it was funny to see the same pieces over 10 years later. After that when looking for dinner options we found a doner place! I hadn't had doner since I was over in germany 2 years ago now, sadly no mezzo mix but my coke was still pretty good. The food itself was decent, having to avoid lettuce rn definitely took away from it so I cant judge it too hard.

The third day we once again  had my mom's event but then after packing up we got some dinner and headed home, very chill day (we were so exhausted at this point). At the event I got a few goodies! more then what is just in the picture haha, I kinda went a little crazy but there was so many vendors that we hadn't seen before so it was super exciting! I also got a little beaded fish keychain, and armin (aot) keychain, and a few extra stickers and two patches for my jacket! The fish here is punch needle so it feels a bit like a rug, I wonder how my roommate will feel about my decor choices next year...

 We got Italian at this like fast food place essentially but it was actually so good omg. I had a funny interaction with one of the employees too. When you walk in to the restaurant there is a sign that tells you to order at the kiosks, so as a person who can read a sign, I just automatically started ordering at the kiosk and one of the employees (probably there to wrangle the people who dont know how to follow instructions) was like "oh I assume you've been here before" and I ofc had a moment of pause because I am in fact extremely awkward, then was like "no?" then just kinda gestured to the sign. I as a fellow food industry worker felt his reaction so keenly there, i could just feel how long suffering he was with people walking up to him trying to order when that was literally not his job. Very funny, also they made amazing cacio y pepe which is my fav so win.

 Monday me and my mom had completely free, so we went on a whale tour super far north. We where definetly in canadian waters for most of it but it was so pretty! We almost reached the pacific ocean we where so far out. We saw 5 different humpbacks, 3 of which where traveling in a group which was super special because normally they don't travel together at all and the fact it was three almost made me cry because it reminded my of my two friends (who are both going really far for college) and I immediately was texting them about it when we got to shore haha. 

 Anyway, Seattle was amazing! I hadn't realized how bad my depression was getting here and the chance to be out of the same three places everyday was super helpful, I feel better then I have in months! Hope y'all are doing well, byebye!! :]
