i'm all for new hockey fans n stuff, but like it gets to a point..
for example: heated rivalry
i like that the show has introduced more people to the sport, but it gets EXHAUSTING when i see people in comment sections like "when do they kiss" ON A VIDEO OF TWO TEAMMATES CELEBRATING TOGETHER OR GETTING IN A SCRUM
not to mention also off-campus, icebreaker, etc..
why are people so obsessed with freak-ifying hockey? cuz now a lot of fans pay more attention to nonexistent romance between players than the actual game
i'm sick and tired of people making hockey so freaked out bruh

As someone who has only recently started supporting different hockey teams (because nobody plays it in my country) I would say that there are many people who look for "romances" where there clearly aren't any; they just want to project His fetishes (Because some comments really do sound like that) Well, it's just my opinion based on what I've seen on the internet.

My best guess is that somebody made a viral tiktok which made a bunch of people go wild with the idea and it has been spiraling since
well once heated rivalry was released, the hockey community was bombarded with the incoming fans of the show n stuff
