If you've spent any time on TikTok lately ; -; you've probably seen videos about Adéla. Edits, Live performance or the 'Adéla speaks Slovak' videos. Suddenly, people everywhere are talking about her voice, her music, and you've probably noticed a flood of comments saying things like, 'I'M SO PROUD I'M SLOVAK!"

Honestly? I love seeing it.

For a country as small as Slovakia, moments like these feel special :> It's exciting to watch someone from home break into international conversations and remind people that great talent can come from anywhere.

But while everyone's celebrating Adéla (which lets be honest is deserved), I can't help but think about the other Slovak artists who deserve attention. <3

Petra: A Voice More People Should Hear!!

One artist I don't see mentioned enough is Petra Firbasová. (or simply going by Petra on Spotify)

She has the kind of music that sticks with you. Whether it's her songwriting, vocal delivery, or the emotion she brings to her tracks, she's an artist who deserves to be part of the conversation whenever people talk about modern Slovak music.

Sometimes the best artists aren't the ones the algorithm chooses, they're the ones you discover yourself. She became one of my all time favourites <3

Ashley Sienna Has Slovak Roots Too!!

Then there's Ashley :D

Many people know her from Tik Tok or Spotify without realizing she also has Slovak roots. Her music blends polished pop with honest lyrics and memorable hooks that feel just as at home on international playlists as they do among emerging European artists.

It's a reminder that Slovak talent isn't confined to one genre, one audience, or one country.

It's completely understandable that we (Slovaks) are excited right now. Seeing someone from such a small country receive international recognition is something worth celebrating. Yeppieee! >w<

But maybe the biggest takeaway isn't that we have one amazing artist.

It's that we've had incredible artists all along!!

Sometimes it just takes one viral moment for people to start paying attention.

Hopefully, Adéla's success opens the door for more Slovak musicians, not to compete with her D: but because there's room for all of them to shine. :]
