travelling and stories

heyy my beloveds! just got to los angeles! was so exhausted.

didn't sleep much on the flight or the night before. went out with my friends to watch the game, go spain! honestly just wanted anyone but argentina or morroco to win.  got dinner and then met up with more friends to watch a movie in the park. miss them already, it's only been a day, barely, maybe like 20 hours.

don't get me wrong, i love my friends that i'm travelling with, but I don't think I'm a travelling person. i went to london with my locals last year, and that was. I can't even explain it. I just have my life timeline as before london and after, so much happened; I reflected a lot- I don't know why, maybe it was the menthol cigarettes or because it was my first time travelling alone. but I really learned a lot about myself and what i'm comfortable with. socially, i was dead sober at the time too, and everyone was getting fucked up every night. made some really close friends, ones I hope to have till i die. not sure if that sounds morbid or sweet, but i really love them.

travelling is not for me: the finances, the culture shock, i mean people really don't say excuse, thank you or hello here; it's very jarring, might sound crazy but there is a completely different social culture in the states then there's back in canada. ugh I feel like I sound crazy for saying this, but i really miss toronto. i think after this the only way to get me travelling consistently has to be through coercion. but i doo need to go to brazil....

media? i was listening to get it up by msi the entire plane ride over & over & over again. and a friend, shoutout Dion, recommended a song, Bloody Kiss by Latefallen; really good, kind of reminds me of She Wants Revenge between their self-titled album and Up and Down.

here are some photos i took from the night out with my friends & today while travelling <3

on the way to the game, saw some flags!

dinner w my friends, my friend loved the pasta, so they gave her some to go. it was a really good day.

there was a family of raccoons that always stayed near the restaurant, most of them were babies, super cute.

lastly to wrap it up, we went to go watch a movie in the park with some other friends. it was a really good film; everyone was a bit emotional during the last couple of scenes. It's about a palestinian man who travels the world and sees obscure or unusual things. i highly recommend it: It Must Be Heaven (2019) by Elia Suleiman.

alright i think that's it for today i'll check in soon <3!!
