My Top 5 Balisong Wishlist!

HEY HEYYY!!!!! I don't know anyone else on this site who's into balisongs, so I'm throwing this out there incase it helps me find my people!!!!

Sidenote, most of these are going to be from Nabalis OR clone companies, because balisong companies do NOT ship to my country!!! If you're a purist who hates clones... You do NOT know what you're talking about bro...

Anyway, here's my top 5 balisongs I'm hoping to get sometime in the near future :-)

1. Nabalis Wing (False Edge Blade)

THIS THING IS BEAUTIFUUUL. I plan for this balisong and the next one in this list to match each other hehe. Having a light blue, angel wing pattern on the handle is giving PALADIN vibes. And I LOVEEE the Paladin class in basically any media (but mostly in AdventureQuest 3D). Unfortunately, the Nabalis Wing doesn't match my flipping preferences. It weighs 4.1oz, which isn't heavy, but is still pretty fatiguing after 15 minutes of constant flipping. It also has moderate handle bias and I prefer my balisongs leaning towards neutral to light handle bias. Despite that, it has relatively thin / round handles which I'm super curious about. Despite all that... IT'S TOO BEAUTIFUL TO PASS UP!!!!!

2. Nabalis Hydra (Tanto Blade)

The Nabalis Hydra is the NECROMANCER to the Nabalis Wing's PALADIN. And the contrast of the straight tanto blade compared to the wing's flashy, curvy blade. The boxy handles with the aggressive texturing VS the wing's softer, rounder handles. And of course, the blood red/black colorway of the Hydra compared to the blue/white of the Wing. AGHHH IT'S PERFECT. While the Hydra also doesn't fit my flipping preferences, it at least has specs that are more similar to the Nabalis Cheese (which I have) so I feel like I'd enjoy flipping this more over the Wing.

3. Flip Forge Palette

Can't have a balisong wishlist without a plastic balisong!! I LOVE flipping plastic. And in my country where even flipping trainers outside is illegal, having a plastic balisong in your collection is a MUST. Right now, I'm running a squiddy clone as my plastic flipper, but it comes with the caveat of being way too light. Of course, plastic is light, but the weird weight distribution means switching from an aluminum balisong to the squiddy is horribly awkward. Having something like the Palette which flips closer to how an aluminum balisong would behave would be a gamechanger. Not to mention, it's Hella customizable and I can choose for it to be balanced exactly how I want with the design I want!! If I had to choose, I'd go with blue and pink :-)

4. Nabalis Crescent

This is the balisong I'm planning to get as soon as I can afford to spend on balisongs again!! I was going to add the Nautilus v2 Cold Blade on this list, but ultimately, the Crescent won over it. The adjustable weight system, the textured G10, the speed channels on the handles and the gorgeous design on the blade won me over. It's EXACTLY what I want in a flipper. Lightweight, fast, responsive and satisfying to flip. AND IT SOUNDSSS AMAZING AND SOO UNIQUE. Also, black and purple are my girlfriend's favorite colors and it reminds me of her 🥰

5. Yuppie (Squid Industries) Squiddy-Al

I heard the Squiddy Al flips really weird... and that's EXACTLY why i want it... I NEED to feel this weirdness for myself. AND LOOK AT HIS LITTLE FACEEE. HOW COULD YOU NOT WANT ALBERT??? I was debating whether I should go for the Armed Shark clone but I heard good things about the Yuppie clone and it's a bit cheaper and all I got is third world currency 💔

6. LDY FRANK-XL

OKAY I KNOW I SAID TOP 5 BUT I HAD TO GIVE A SHOUTOUT TO MY BOY THE FRANK XL. HE'S HUGE. I've always wanted a giant balisong. And I know the Squiddy-XL is a thing too and it's not limited time like the Frank-XL. But here's my question for you: Does the Squiddy-XL have a silly face? ... Exactly. Flipping a giant balisong would be my DREAM COME TRUE. If anyone wants to send me one.... hit me up....

Anyway! That's my list! It's normally much MUCH longer than this so here's a little section for honorable mentions:

1. Replicant (All-white build)

Replicants are ICONIC. You haven't fully dived into the hobby if you haven't built a replicant. But I didn't put it in the list cuz I'm still debating on what parts I really want on my replicant. All I know is that I want it to be ALL WHITE like the ghost Kraken.

2. AMKW Peon

I only found out about this balisong recently, but that blade profile is INSANE and it looks hella satisfying to flip. If it were accessible here, I'd save up for it, but limited drops + shipping prices being twice the price of the knife??? Ooof...

3. Armed Shark (Squid Industries) Nautilus v2

Fits my flipping preferences like CRAZY. Unfortunately the only clone available here is the XDYY one which only runs on washers??? And I really do not like washer-only balisongs.

4. Squid Industries Krake Raken v3

I honestly don't think I'll like the Kraken... but everyone praises it as the gold standard of balisong flipping so I reaaally want to try it at least once.
