Magnolia is a witch who lives in the woods with her son, Mint. But after a recent break-in, there is much more to this story to be told.
This visual novel is a bit longer! It takes around 30 minutes to complete the game, I kinda speedran my second round to get the B-ending so it took about 40-ish minutes for me. However, there is much more gameplay to talk about in this VN! The description for 'Symbiosis' is "a horror RPG-maker", which is the perfect description! The gameplay reminds me a lot of games like OMORI or Earthbound with the little sprites that look like chibis walking around. It's very immersive, and the story is very well-made! This VN was a submission to NaNoRenO 2022, a Jam that goes through the month of March every year!
The art for this game is absolutely exquisite! The dark, grimy and slightly grungy look is absolutely perfect for a game that takes place in a witch's house!
Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who loves video games like OMORI (or just simply visual novels with real gameplay)!
