bringing flowers felt too insincere

once her name was set in stone/that's when he decided to see her again/she was supposed to be different now/but it was still only the dirt by his feet that greeted him/dirt, and now some trampled bouquets/the flowers next door smelled nicer anyway/the lack of movement in her gaze/well- they were finally talking at eye level/the soiled grass left green patches of carelessness on his knees/becoming more eager left his shovel on bench duty/wherever she had gone off to her body was still laid out here for him/insects that crawled out were now crushed underneath his fingernails/it was so easy to see over her skin/as he left his clean appearance looked so out of place with the trampled bouquets in the trash/and her skin covered in dirt fit in nicely.

yeah i rewrote these lyrics three times. the very third draft. i don't like how linear the structure of it is. also i know i promised this yesterday but if you do the same thing everyday then today is basically close enough. i'm also not sure how "generous" this entry is ..

love- likan
