What is your opinion on the live action ATLA remake on Netflix??

i think it gets a lot of unnecessary hate tho im not the biggest fan. i dont like a lot of the changes but i like that it makes them in the first place, like if it was just a shot by shot remake of the og there would be no reason for it to exist. my main issue is with the writing (i think some of the dialogue is stiff and corny and like i said i think some of the changes are weird but im not gonna list them under a positive post unless u want me to bc im genuinely not trying to be a hater). i like the actors tho, esp dallas, miyako and ian

OMG FINALLY SOMEONE NOT JUST HATING ON IT!! I really love and relate to the actors they got for it, totally can picture them up to the same hi jinks, I really like how they changed quite a few bits to make it feel fresh whilst cutting their episodes down, I think I missed when they properly met her when I watching it with my family though so I'll definitely have to rewatch and I kinda like that they gave him a little bit of self sacrifice to make up for how much of an ass he is cuz we don't really get to see any growth from him in the show and I love how they introduced the white lotus and the sort of moral battle they go through to make sure that iroh understands what he has done to these people. I think my only problem is that kataras actions as lady of the lake in this show are not nearly as helpful as her original storyline and it feels like they were shoving the already obvious comparison in our face and when katara finds out zuko is the blue spirit it seems like they come to an understanding but then azula is like "youve been sent on a stupid mission for punishment and now it's over you can come back and be part of this family if you want and I'm sorry I was too loud"(oversimplified for sure) but like i personally don't understand how he is now incentivised to come home, he won't have much power as azula is the commander and until she was ordered to she has never been kind to zuko so I don't understand why he makes the switch up but maybe it's a matter of what he wants to believe will happen? And if so I'm excited for us to see how this affects his characters second turn for helping the avatar gang. Anyways if you wanna be friends and randomly talk about alta m, I may not respond right away but I'm definitely down!!
