Entry #2: " To The Girl Im Still Becoming ⠀⊹ ࣪ ˖ ໒꒱"

I was dying to post another blog, and it took me more than 10 blogs to find ideas, until a few hours later I was watching Eileen Gu’s interview on IG, talking about neuroplasticity and how you can change the way you think to be someone you’d admire. As a chronic overthinker, doubter and someone who’s lived inside a bubble for God knows how long, I realized I often treated my current self as if she were permanent. Instead of accepting the person I happen to be today, Im now willing to work towards the goal of becoming someone I’d love. I really don’t have it all figured out, this is just a collection of reminders for myself, or maybe for someone else who may need it too. (´-ω-`)

 ⏔⏔ ꒰ ᧔ෆ᧓ ꒱ ⏔⏔   1.  Choose the voice you listen to   ⏔⏔ ꒰ ᧔ෆ᧓ ꒱ ⏔⏔

Negative thoughts are weird, they come from anywhere. Either they come from underestimating ourselves, comments people make up about us or our past traumas, and we're treating these thoughts like they are facts (myself included). I asked myself: "Why am I giving other people, old memories and random comments more authority over my life than myself?". Thats where I decided to make a change. Be your own cheerleader, be the one to make yourself feel encouraged. As I also continued progressing through not only words, but also action, I realized it's no longer about proving others wrong, instead, it about becoming the person I envisioned myself to be. In a summary,  all Im trying to say is: the loudest voice in your head should belong to the version of yourself you want to become.

 ⏔⏔ ꒰ ᧔ෆ᧓ ꒱ ⏔⏔   2.  Adapting is non-negotiable for Growth   ⏔⏔ ꒰ ᧔ෆ᧓ ꒱ ⏔⏔

I used to think adapting is basically changing who you are, but its really the opposite, its changing how you approach the situation WITHOUT changing who you want to become. This links to first topic I discussed about, where we often find ourselves asking: "Why does this never work for me?" whenever we experience foreign things, but we never ask "HOW will I make this work for me?".  In the midst of black and white thinking, the shades of gray reduce this by allowing ourselves to strengthen from disadvantages, as well as instilling the mindset where your problems should become the obstacle to solve instead of a reason for you to give up.  Growth blooms where adaptability takes root.

 ⏔⏔ ꒰ ᧔ෆ᧓ ꒱ ⏔⏔   3.  More capable than you think?   ⏔⏔ ꒰ ᧔ෆ᧓ ꒱ ⏔⏔

"What if I'm more capable than I currently believe?" I believe the only way to discover your potential is by giving yourself a chance to develop them. Don't give yourself an excuse to feel ready. Confidence isn't something we have at the start, we build it through action. I've always thought that I would never be good at coding, until I stopped hesitating and spammed tutorials. It turned out my ability silenced the noises of my baseless opinions. Discovering your potential could also be about choosing what you feed your mind. Yes, I laughed at the dumbest brainrot reels, but there isn't a need to completely eliminate it, however, there's also an importance in feeding our minds with ideas that challenge us, whether it's from social media, books or conversations. In the journey of becoming, curiosity keeps us moving forward

 ⏔⏔ ꒰ ᧔ෆ᧓ ꒱ ⏔⏔   4.  Design yourself on purpose  ⏔⏔ ꒰ ᧔ෆ᧓ ꒱ ⏔⏔

When life gives you your niche, use it. I always ask myself: “If I can design the best version of myself, whar would she be like?” Therefore, I craft my own identity. Aesthetics is more than just fun and style, they become meaningful when they reflect who you are. You can adopt your style or fashion sense by exploring pictures in pinterest, or simply from taking inspirations from your environment, applying them to the clothes you wear, music you listen, the things you post on social media, or your own website you’re developing. Start becoming someone you admire. If you want to have brains like Paris Geller, get disgustingly educated. If you want a behavior like Elle Woods, say something nice to others to make their day. If you want to have the style of Cher Horowitz, explore your entire wardrobe, go crazy. After all, the greatest project you’ll ever work with is yourself.

  ⏔⏔ ꒰ ᧔ෆ᧓ ꒱ ⏔⏔   The end !!!  ⏔⏔ ꒰ ᧔ෆ᧓ ꒱ ⏔⏔

Maybe I’ll realize I changed, or maybe I’ll realize Im still working on the same lessons. My vision of becoming isn’t about encouraging myself to be perfect, it’s about choosing over and over again, to move one step closer to the person I want to become in the  near future. And if this blog reminds even one person (including myself), I think this entry is doing useful work. ^_^

~~ with love, 91 (´-ω-`)
