I feel very deeply, about EVERYTHING.

Some people might say it’s a problem, but I think it can be a superpower. To be an empath can be great. But sometimes… empath doesn’t feel like a strong enough word. Some people think I’m overreacting when in reality… I think I’m feeling things a “normal” amount. I guess my “normal” isn’t actually socially normal?

I looked into it a while back, and read about HSPs (highly sensitive person). A lot of people say it can be an autistic trait. As most people know by now (I hope), autism is a spectrum. Meaning while some struggle to understand emotions, while others feel emotions DEEPLY. I’ve suspected I’m likely on the spectrum, just haven’t really had a chance to get that diagnosed.

But anyways, It often feels like I’m the odd one out in a lot of scenarios. I talk a lot, laugh a lot, feel a lot, and do all of it in a way that seems to be confusing to a lot of people. I’ve never really met anyone that seems to feel as deeply as I do, and I genuinely wonder where more of these people are. I can’t be the only one, right?

If you relate to this, I’d LOVE to hear about it. So far, all I’ve been able to do is attempt explaining this to people. It would be nice to talk to people that feel this way too.

I think I know what you're talking about. Most people in the real world think I'm mean or emotionless, but I'm mostly feeling it inside. I am a very emotional person, and there are so many emotions that I write poetry. I don't know if writing poetry makes me feel free from this or more trapped.

I definitely understand that! I’m usually extremely up front about my emotions… I think that’s weirds people out sometimes. But man, poetry and writing is such a great outlet.
