A rainy/windy day

It's been years since I've seen a "storm" like this where I live. They predicted rain and wind would batter the south-central part of my country until at least Saturday (July 18th). I've always liked the rain: the sound is pleasant, you don't have to go outside, I can read more peacefully, and I can also have black tea with sweets/chocolates. Although there wasn't any thunder or lightning today, there was wind. A lot of wind. In Chile, there aren't any major tornadoes or hurricanes (there have only been cases of waterspouts), but now the news was full of stories of flooding and roofs being blown off. My family was no exception: a "recent" (from the beginning of the year) roof installation on a new outdoor section almost blew away. Also, with just a little rain, the power usually goes out. We were without power for about four hours. And my cat was scared too, mostly because he heard noises on the roof. Now that the power is back on, I've charged my cell phone and my laptop. Then it's time to write.
