So I kinda wanna get into Resident evil, but I'm not sure which game to play- I know pretty much nothing about the franchise and the only game I played was half of operation racoon city (which I heard was the least liked one, but I still loved it) so either way, are there are recomendations? Preferably for older consoles

Ok here's what I would suggest.
If you can deal with tank controls, I'd just play them in order of release. People always suggest the remakes but, idk most of them are not a definitive upgrade like most claim.
If you want something more approachable, but still relatively early in the series Id go with the original RE4. It's basically on every platform, and it's one of the best games ever made.
Finally if you want the most approachable game in the series I would go with Revelations. It was originally made for 3ds so it's a more streamlined experience, while still maintaining staples of the series, and despite it being called "revelations" its basically a completely self contained story.

Hi! I suggest starting with Resident Evil 2 remake as it will ease you into the horror aspects along with the action aspects of the game! I also would recommend Resident Evil 8. Some people say it's scary but I personally didn't find it that scary so you could also start with that game!
