I (16 as of last week) have divorced parents and switch houses every week. My brother (18 as of april) started harassing me around 2022 and first assaulted me last year. It's happened a few times since then but it's always been at my mom's house, specifically because my door doesn't have a lock. At my dad's, I sleep in the attic which has a proper lock, but my room at my mom's house doesn't have a key for the lock already on it (i've tried every key in the house, it's useless).
I've been trying to lock that door for the past five months. I tried gluing on slider locks, he's broken them off then taken them from me. I tried buying these other locks from a store but they didn't work for that long either. I had a lock that was working for a while, it was a fairly expensive for my budget rim lock so of course it did, but today when I came home it was gone.
I don't have the money for a new one and I need to find a way to lock my door. Which locks do I get when I do get the money, how do I make sure he can't break them again? I'm not asking for help regarding the rest, just the lock part. How do I keep my door locked?

if you don't feel comfortable telling your parents this, can you tell them that you'd rather stay at your dad's place and then come up with an excuse of convenience (in case that's possible)?
if you cant, then i really think you should tell someone, even if it's a friend, because it'll be worse to go through this alone.

Thank you, I'll try asking to stay at his house more, though I don't know if it'll really work since shared custody is court obligated. I'll think about telling a friend, maybe, thank you again for the advice <3
