reusing an old laptop will forever be kewl ദ്ദി
installing linux helps breathe a lot of new life into these things, helps stop them being gummed up and killed by shitty updates to other OS-es

can confirm, i also installed linux on a relatively old intel celeron laptop from 2020 and it was like a breath of fresh air compared to how slowly OEM windows was running on it :P
