another summer being spent regretting the weather i begged for all winter. doing some volunteering work outside and i learnt that falling down from heat exhaustion is just your body's way of showing you the kind of weather you'll be expecting in hell if you don't get up and be a good volunteering samaritan. well the grass isn't cold anyway, and at some point i had to discreetly walk away from the group to go puke near some bushes so really the grass is as cold as my stomach acid. a good and gross samaritan. my dad was mad at me this morning and doing all this in the heat while he knowing he was mad at me and i was mad at him in retaliation felt very uncomfortable, i think it had an impact on my performance, which sucks because i wasn't going to do a very good performance from the get go. we had to build something for the kids you know and i'm not very steady with drills plus the heat kind of drives you crazy. you start wanting to take your safety gloves off and accidentally drill a hole in your finger because maybe the ambulance ride would be air-conditioned. stuff like that didn't happen, what happened though was constantly getting praised for remembering to take the battery off the drill when i was done using it and that was even better. it was like blowing an ice cube right into my eyeballs. i have to do all this until friday too.
