Karma struck fast: in my last post, I said, "Stick to at least one habit." Then I forgot to post yesterday. Well, maybe the lesson here is: try to keep going even if you’ve missed a few days. I don’t know. My family and I went to the forest and had a little picnic there. TO ESCAPE THIS HORRIBLE MONSTROUS TERRIBLE HEATWAVE THAT CAME FROM THE DEEPEST PITSS OF HELL. We stopped by a local food stall. My sibling and I bought ice cream and churros. It was delicious, of course, but I have to point out the price of a single ice cream: 4 euros... ONE ICE CREAM !!!! What the hell are these prices? If you’re a family of five, you’d have to spend 20 euros. :( Why? Two years ago, it was 2 euros. Even in 2024, I thought that was expensive. In this economy, it feels like you can’t go anywhere unless you have a 50-dollar bill (or euro, in my case) in your wallet. It makes me so mad. For example, my mom and I left the house to run some errands. Mind you, there were only 10 to 15 items in our basket. 75 euros... The cart held basic necessities. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I just wanted to vent. Sorry. ANYWAY, TODAY’S TOPIC IS IF YOU WERE A COLLEGE ADMISSIONS OFFICER OF , WHAT QUALITIES WOULD YOU LOOK FOR IN PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS?
I really need to start researching the topics I choose before giving an answer. Up until now, I’ve always written my blog posts right before bed (a questionable decision, I agree). SO I NEED TO COME UP WITH A SOLID STRATEGY. Should I deliver a well-researched, coherent essay on a given topic, It 'll be better if take a week or less to write it. That way, I won’t just be sharing my immediate opinion. Plus, I’d actually learn something. BUT that starts tomorrow. Enough chit chat . Here’s my quick answer. (I’M TIRED) Qualities I’d look for in prospective students if I were in charge of college admissions Motivation Kindness. Progressive mindset Knowledge/Informed

I've never met you before, but this account seems so cool! This blog post made me relate to you even though Ive known about your existence for not even 5 minutes. Sadly I live in the U.S. so I cant relate to money as I'm also too lazy to convert to dollars. TO answer the blog question, Id probably look for creativity, leadership, and humbleness. Ik that clashed, but I'd want someone who cant lead without getting cocky, anyways, GN!!
OMGGGGGG That is so so sweet !!!! I’s the first time someone has left a comment on one of my posts, so it means a lot to me. Thank you so much :). I’m thrilled that you like the concept. I hadn’t posted anything for a while because I was feeling a bit down, mostly due to the lack of news from universities. But you’ve just motivated me to keep going.
Just a quick side note: 1 euro is equivalent to 1.14 dollars, so it’s practically the same thing. 50 euros and 50 dollars are pretty much interchangeable.
As for your reply, I totally agree. All the qualities you mentioned are necessary because they foster a key trait, self-confidence, which cannot exist without creativity, leadership, and humility.
According to Wikipedia(yes), self-confidence is belief in one's own abilities. It involves the positive conviction that one can generally accomplish what one wishes to do in the future.
If I had to choose between several candidates, I would pick those who are confident in what they can achieve, without being arrogant. That said, self-confidence doesn't just appear out of nowhere: it is built gradually. Creativity, leadership ( in any field art, science, Literature etc ), and HUMILITY (as you said) are essential. So your take is super valid. Honestly , thank you a lot for sharing your opinion. This question harbors a lot of answers and yours made a lot of sense. Again thanks for taking the time to reply.
