Synopsis

At an elite all-girls' academy where refined young ladies gather, Lilisa Suzunomiya, now the daughter of a real estate tycoon after her mother remarried, is forced to abandon her guitar and rock music to fit in. However, her passion is reignited by sounds from the old school building, where she meets a skilled drummer who shares her love for rock. Together, they embrace their inner rockstars, elegantly clashing and shouting their way through the academy in this captivating tale of grace and rebellion.

Opinion

Plot / Story: The plot caught my attention right from the start. Even though the protagonist's past plays a major role in the choices she makes in the present, unlike many anime that tend to repeat it over and over through flashbacks or internal monologues, this one handles it subtly without making it feel repetitive or tedious. It's not the first anime to use the "girl who seems like an angel but turns out to be a demon" dynamic, but it still manages to keep you hooked. But it's true that there are some unnecessarily sexualized scenes. -_-

Characters: The characters are a bit cliché, but not to the point where they become annoying. Each of them has a very distinct personality, and I absolutely love the protagonist's (which is saying something, since I don't usually get attached to main characters).

Animation: During the most emotional scenes, the anime uses a rough, sketch-like art style, with lots of loose lines and blended colors, and I absolutely love it. It's the first anime where the switch to 3D models during certain scenes didn't bother me or feel jarring at all.

Opening: I like the song and I love how the clean art style blends with the rough linework and the color blending.

Ending: The song is amazing, and the artwork is THE BEST.

Pacing: The story has a good pace. It never feels too fast or too slow.
