pfp viewing issue pissing me off

so I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge that users in the USA or users using a USA VPN can't see profile pictures on here. as someone from the UK I can't access spacehey at all without a VPN, so I heavily rely on it every time I use it.

just now I attempted to connect to the free Canada VPN (which worked fine previously) on ProtonVPN, but I couldn't see any pfps at all, which was odd as it's one of my favourite locations to connect to, having all the perks of a normal USA connection just without the loss of pfps. 

apparently it doesn't work anymore and any location in the Americas won't work, at least not of the three free ones I tried, Canada, the USA and Mexico. all of these locations lead to the same thing, being unable to see pfps. it could just be an issue with ProtonVPN itself, but I'd think it's safe to assume that all the Americas now have this issue as three countries in the same continent now have issues displaying users' pfps.

I'm using a Netherlands VPN as I write this, which seems to work fine, but of course Europe is another continent, which leads me to more strongly believe this theory I've made up. I'll wait some time and see if it fixes itself or more reports spring up about it, but for now I'm irritated. if this keeps happening there could be a time where pfps are entirely unavailable to view, no matter where you're browsing from.
