A few weeks ago I was able to finally buy the chainsaw of my dreams! (off eBay..)

The Homelite XL Chainsaw!

That's right baby, the world's first lightweight single-man operation bullet-proof chainsaw. It features a 54cc to 58cc engine and a bar length of 16" (Calm down! There's enough chainsaw for everyone.)

For those who are into horror movies they'll quickly recognize that it's the same chainsaw that Ash Williams from Evil Dead uses. (Totally not the reason I spent 75 bucks for a vintage chainsaw.) Which is probably why when you think of a chainsaw you think of it as a red one.



Watch the limbs, it's not easy having a chainsaw hand.

Did you know the first chainsaw was invented to assist in childbirth and also worked with a crank? So if you were giving birth during the 1800's you'd see the doctor furiously cranking a chainsaw against your vulva

In a way chainsaws are a tool of LIFE. Or death, just ask Mr. Williams.
