the worst holiday of the year,
the day where everyone gathers to fawn on and on about how "great our nation is,"
when in all reality, all I can recall is over 250 years of oppression, neglect, and abuse of the people in and out of the United States.
not only that, my god is it overrated as all living hell. Sure, seeing fireworks light up the sky is pretty and all- but I could be doing shit so much more interesting.
regardless, here I am, sitting in a rocky parking lot dreaming of someone over 2,000 miles away, this whole thing would be so much more beautiful if he was here.
we'd probably ditch the show and it's entirety, shit's too loud anyway, I'd probably just stare at him the entire time honestly. I'm making the whole yearning thing worse by listening to Fourth of July, by Fall Out Boy of course. I talk about that band too much to him, thank god he loves it when I nerd out about them though.
can't wait for today to be over, I want to call him already.

i know, our country is a pathetic excuse of freedom and unity.
Ikr, the only "freedom" we're celebrating at this point is the freedom white men, billionaires, and millionaires. Immigrants and people of color built this country and yet they're oppressed, what kind of freedom is that??
