Actual Vocaloid fandom suks

As a Vocaloid lover for as long as I can remember (and I'm not just talking about Hatsune Miku), I'm a little baffled by what's been happening in the fandom lately.

Well, no, the fandom has never been a "normal" place. There have always been controversies with composers over songs with VERY questionable lyrics, or even controversies that arise within the fandom itself.

But honestly, I think it's worse than before. We're not just talking about songs with fetishistic content (AND YES, I'LL INCLUDE TETO IN THIS >:c). I know she's not a Vocaloid, but she's LITERALLY treated like one, and despite that, let's be honest, there are currently more Miku x Teto songs than songs with any other Vocaloid that could be paired with Miku.

One somewhat questionable opinion I have is that, since Mezmerize came out, the entire community has experienced an absurd decline.

Not only do they keep using the same Miku and Teto pairings, "infantilizing" them to achieve sexualization, but there are also content farms that only use the same old trio (where two aren't even Vocaloids). They use child Vocaloids/voiced by underage actors for disgustingly sexualized songs, and honestly, what bothers me most is that they use AI for the songs or music videos...

Of course, there are good composers, and we appreciate them keeping that part of the Vocaloid fandom alive for those who appreciate it. But we've reached a point where there isn't much to highlight about the fandom at this time.
