Β Yes I am tattooed, and yes I am a mama. I would not trade either one for the world. I got my first tattoo when I was 17 in 2001 (that was 19 years ago yikes!!!). Time flies when you get the very first one. And yes I had permission from my Mom to get my first tattoo, she had to sign for it. I was underage after all. And no I did not get it done in someone's home or do it myself. I went to the local shop in my town and picked off of a flash sheet. I chose at the time what I was into, and would think would stand the test of time. My choice was a dolphin inside of a sun. And No it is not the Miami Dolphins logo either. I just saw this on the tattoo flash sheet picked it and went with it. What a beginners tattoo LMAO! But anyways. After that I started to get tattoos pretty regularly after the very first one. Once you pop your tattoo cherry as they say tattoos are like potato chips you can't have just one. I have lost count after 15 tattoos simply because I am working on my 2nd arm sleeve. Already have my left arm completely covered except my hand that is next. My legs are a work in progress, as well as my back still has plenty of space left. I know tattoos are not for everyone, but they are for me. Tattoos are my way of expressing who I am. And tattoos are a way for me to remember someone that meant something special to me like my loved ones (a memorial piece). I take the time to plan out the tattoo that I want so that I do not in the end regret getting it done. My son might only be 3 years old but he understands that I have tattoos on my body and that they do not come off. He has understood about tattoos since he was much younger, I have talked to him about them. You have to talk to your little ones about tattoos so that they are not misinformed about them. Am I afraid what my tattoos are going to look like when I am in my 80's? I will worry about what they look like then. I probably won't care by then, I mean who really knows. They might still look really good at 80 years old. At this point in my life, it is my body. I can't take it with me to the afterlife. So I might as well make it look good now with tattoos. I have plenty more tattoo ideas to go and more space on my body to go. So here is to being tattooed and being a mama!
