So, i've been in this religion named "Unitarianism" since i was born, and i feel like a brainwashed person.
It is basically that we dont belive that God, Jesus and the holy spirit are diffrent ppl. they are the "same". i dunno how to describe it, but i feel damn bad. i cant cut my hair, i cant have earrings, rings or any jewlery in general. i must wear long skirts everyday!! i can't have makeup neither!!
worst part is that i'm bisexual and i identify myself as both "male and female" thing that i dont say too much.
My religion thinks that it is bad and a sin. i constantly think i will go to hell bc i'm not living like they want. Can someone help me to know what to do? ˙◠˙

upon searching up about this religion i found "Unitarianism is defined by its belief in the singularity of God, respect for Jesus as a moral teacher, and reliance on reason and personal experience in spiritual matters" and I want you to know that the rules you're living under are not what Unitarianism is about for most people in the world. those extreme rules come from a tiny, fringe sect that misuses the name 'Unitarian.'
they do not represent the wider faith at all.
the vast majority of Unitarians are in the Unitarian Universalist Association, which has no dress code and is known for being inclusive and accepting of all people, regardless of their sexuality or gender identity.
I've never heard of the "Unitarian Universalist Association", i'm in "UPCI" thing that i dont know how to describe it. Since i'm a minor i can't just leave my parents, even if i could, i have nowhere to go and i'm oblied to go to church.
Its really common for teenagers, since most of our "pastores" said they were also like us and tried to escape church, but then a random and unbelivable event happens and they decide to stay at it. I don't think its normal.
i mostly feel kinda bad for saying this things and expressing myself like this. I feel like its wrong and i'm offending God.
(i feel rlly safe with the comments here, since i feel supported and not pushed to belive in this! thx!!!)

you know.....it feels like a cult but i'm not gonna assume anything since i don't know much.
If you're safe in that environment then ig you will have to adjust and live by there rules until you're an adult.
they won't mind you moving out when you're an adult would they?? i hope they don't.
and please don't feel any religious guilts, questioning is human nature and you're not offending anyone.
i would also recommend searching up more about the history about this religion and what it's motive was, and how other people around the world follow it maybe you get better view of it and understand what adults around you telling are right or wrong.

and those "pastors" saying such. please know that it was there experience hence they came back, it does not apply on everyone. because faith is something that vary from person to person upon their own experiences.

hey ..if you get out of that environment that will be the best thing to do.
i have never heard of this religion but it sounds shady asf. it shouldn't supress who you are, god wants remembrance not servants (according to what i believe, you are free to interpret about god yourself or be a chill atheist)
I'm religious too but i don't blindly believe in bullshit. be your own person, i hope you stay safe and soon get chance to get out if that surrounding <33

girl u aint going to hell just for being urself. i see ure pretty young so know that when i was ur age ppl tried to put the same stupid thoughts in my head that they are putting in urs. one day ull be free from that cult and will live life as u see fit. my advice is to find ppl ur age that u can talk to about this in ur area. and try being lowkey if u have strict parents
Thanks for the comment bro, i appreciate it! its really hard for me, but i'll try to change that negative mindset
