why separation is just a life lesson

at some point, we all exit from someone else’s story. but how do you move on and minimise the unhealthy longing you’ve self inflicted? have you noticed that you barely meet someone again after a much needed separation?

a theory that stood out to me was ‘the last meeting theory’. when two have fulfilled their purpose in each other’s life, they shall separate and never cross paths again given a similar geographical location or the social lives they lead.

rather than abandonment, i like to think of it as a chance for self growth. though no one is perfect, we all learn from each other’s flaws and excellence. why did they leave me? why did i want to isolate from them?

instead of dwelling on the reasons of their abandonment and ‘what-ifs’ excuses of a parallel universe, what about the stubborn ways they get in fights to protect the ones they care about? the way their face lights up when someone accomplishes something? the caring hand reaching out to feed a stray, weak kitten?

one relationship is only temporary, the only one staying till the end will be you yourself. see an incomplete bond as a lesson, not as a self deprecating spiral you send yourself into.

i believe, on earth we briefly exist, make every encounter a stepping stone into the next, learn from one’s flaws to make the right one understand and love who you really are, and most importantly, grow for yourself.
