Why no one talks about how hard it is to make friends in the website whenever i find my twin they're offline for months or the're basically online but not texting lol and even if you found the right person there's nothing to talk about like why am i talking like an npc with the person i really want to be friends with. Plz normalize saying anything just because you're out of words:3

I'm not really a social person. I don't add people or try to chat. If someone adds me, I only accept if I see we have something in common. I'm more into leaving comments on blogs and things like that, but I'm not much of a chatterbox. I don't feel very comfortable with it because I'm not good at starting conversations in general, and besides, I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. I find direct chat kind of invasive, haha, but it's just me and my own mental problems.. Maybe there are other people who feel the same way. Many of us prefer reading articles and leaving comments, like it was back in our day.. If we wanted to chat, we used Windows Live Messenger, haha, what memories!

I just made a bulletin about this I can relate (┬┬﹏┬┬) The people you talk to probably are having the same issue you are on the other side of the convo. Generally, I find that people grow closer when they have a reason to talk to you. Whether it be discussing a new episode of something or regularly playing a game together, people break the ice barrier quicker when they have an external reason to be around you rather relying on their own motivation (which is likely low since we're all bad at socializing online LOL).
I checked your profile, filling out your interests/about me would prob help more! Some people are also shy if the don't know what you stand for (AKA political stances).

Trueeee, but there are also a lot of people who don't like IM'ing that much. I'm pretty active, for example, and while I love IM'ing, I prefer users reacting to my blogs and bulletins since that can spark up more fun convo's XD

as I said a few posts ago, people are really dry or non existant on here. dms be drier than a dessert. people add you, they even respond to you in comments, and after you accept they don't dm you, NOTHING
WHAT'S EVEN THE POINT IN ADDING SOMEOME JUST TO BE QUIET, or if they do dm you, it's usually "oh x interest is so cool" and you talk about that for 6 sentences, max 10, then you get ghosted. Oh, or it devolves in random words, phrases, dots, faces etc etc. what is going on spacehey GET YOUR SHIT TOGHETER
OH MY GOS TRU . Feel Like A Hypocrite Though Since Sometimes I Don't Know How To Continue Conversation And Then It Gets Stale

i mean yeah sure it happens, but cmooon, one of the participants to the conversation has to come up with something eventually. everyone here just ghosts as soon as the conversation quiets downs. it s really frustrating
